Sheikh Abubakar Mahmood College of Advanvce studies (SAMCAS), located in Gummi, Zamfara State- Nigeria, has enrolled 71 undergraduates. The matriculation ceremony took place on Sunday, August 6, 2023. The students enrolled in the college to study BA.ed English Language, B.Sc Integrated Science, B.Sc. Health education, B.Social studies, among others.
The degree programs are under the National Teachers Institute affiliated with the University of Maiduguri and Open universities facilitated by Sheikh Abubakar Mahmood College of Advanvce studies. The atmosphere was electric as students eagerly awaited to take a matriculation oath. The undergraduates took the matriculation oath standing, administered by Ummar Salisu.

The NTI National coordinator Prof. Musa Garba Maitafsir, represented by Abubakar Dahiru, welcomed and congratulated the newly admitted students and wished them the best.

Ashiru appreciates the incumbent federal house of representative, Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi, for facilitating the establishment of SAMCAS and sponsoring 60 undergraduates and over 400 Diploma students. In attendance were the Gummi emir, ably represented by the most senior district head Muhammadu Dantukur, SAMCAS staff, and Paramilitary officers.
