Dominica: Roosevelt Skerrit meets DLP youth at Roseau South, sees election of LYO

The prime minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has been visiting the various communities across the nation and spending time with the residents of those communities. In his most recent visit to the Roseau South Constituency, he met and interacted with the various members of the youth wing of the Dominica Labour Party.

He shared some glimpses from his trip to the community on his social media. The images he shared on his social media account featured scenes of warm interactions with the labour youth of the Roseau South Constituency.

According to the update shared by the prime minister, the members of the Labour Youth conducted elections for the executive of their LYO. The leader of the Dominica Labour Party was pleased to spend time with the youth of his country. He shared some snippets of his time in Roseau South with the people of the country through his social media.

He was pleased to witness the electoral procedure that elected the Labour Youth Leader. The Youth wing of the Dominica Labour Party has been active in all parts of the country and has been working with all sections and the people of the country for their betterment.

As the leader of the Labour Party of Dominica, DLP, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has a significant role to play. Accordingly, he works closely with the youth leaders of the Dominica Labour Party youth division. Taking to his social media, he wrote of his interaction on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

He stated, Last evening I spent some time with the Labour Youth of Roseau South. It was while they conducted elections for the executive of their LYO. The young people ran their campaign in the true spirit of Labour over the past week.

Seeing the dedication of the youth of the country towards furthering the country’s politics, he wrote: I commend them for the outreach to the more vulnerable in their communities.

Further, he extended his heartfelt best wishes to the winning candidates. I pledge my full support and look forward to working with them.
