St Kitts: Samal Duggins Congratulates Best Vendor at Midnight Escape

Samal Duggins, took to his social media account to congratulate the "best vendors" of the Midnight Escape Street Festival hosted on Dec 24

Minister of Creative Economy Samal Duggins, also responsible for the National Carnival, took to his social media account to congratulate the “best vendors” of the Midnight Escape Street Festival. The Midnight Escape Festival was celebrated as a part of the Sugar Mas 51.

During the event, several vendors and attendants of the Midnight escape, one of the most successful events of the National Carnival.

The SKNNCC held the Midnight escape on Saturday, December 24, 2022. St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee hosted the event at The Bay Road in Basseterre. St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) described the event as a mix of music, culture, food and fun.

The minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins, stated that Midnight Escape Street Festival was one of the highlights of our Sugar Mas celebrations. Minister Duggins described the event as the perfect fusion of entertainment, culture and ingenuity.

The Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins, asked his followers and fellow social media users to help him congratulate the winners of the Best Vendor title. The top three contenders are:

Ist Place: The Emerald by Shalimar Williams
IInd Place: Wax Memories by Dannielle Mills-Jeffers
Third Place: Empress Beads by Akosua Gyimah.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins urged citizens and social media users to continue empowering, supporting and exporting our homegrown talent.

The official Facebook page of Midnight Escape Street Festival also shared the results. At the same time, they stated that it was an honour for them to host the vendors for the event. The Midnight Escape Street Festival had several competitions, including: the painting competition, battle of the heads, bun eating contest. Other contests included Rum Roulette, Face painting competition, Mechanical bull and several other events.

In addition to the winners, the Midnight Escape hosted several vendors like Nature’s Best, Snack Shacks, Krazy Rolls Ice Cream, and Vikreation, among others.
