St Kitts Political Leaders attend Grand Carnival parade, share update

All St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party leaders were in attendance at the Grand Carnival Parade starting from the Patsy Allers Playing Field. The leaders shared images of their experiences on their social media. The leaders, including Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley, and Senior Leader of the SKNLP, were in attendance at the event. 

The political party leaders expressed their excitement about attending the Grand Parade. St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee hosted the grand Parade after a hiatus of two years. The senior minister of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), Dr Denzil Douglas, shared that SKNNCC hosted the event safely and securely for the people of St Kitts and Nevis. 

Minister of Education Geoffrey Hanley, also in attendance at the update, shared some images, providing a glimpse into the festivities. He wrote only two words, “Outside Again.” 

The Grand Carnival Parade started from the Patsy Allers Playing Field at 11:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2022. St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee, SKNNCC shared the details of the various aspects of the Grand Carnival Parade on their social media. The Grand Carnival Parade would hold several events under its banner. The details of the event include the following: 

  • The route that the attendants of the event needed to take for the Parade
  • Awards for the grand Carnival Parade

Judging criteria for:

  • the grand Carnival Parade 
  • Mas Bands at Patsy Allers
  • Queen of the bands at patsy Allers 
  • King of the bands at patsy Allers 
  • Mas Bands at Greenlands and Stage
  • Queen of the Bands at Greenlands and Stage
  • King of the Bands at Greenlands and Stage

St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee also detailed the prizes, special prizes and awards and special awards that the judges gave to the achievers.
