St Kitts: SKNNCC announces Swimwear Pageant winner

St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) has announced the winners of the National Carnival Swimwear Pageant on their social media. The SKNNCC hosted the Swimwear pageant as part of the ongoing Sugar Mas 51 festivities. 

The committee hosted the Pageant on Tuesday, December 27, at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium. The competition was one of the year’s most anticipated events, ahead of the Sugar Mas 51.

Four beauties from across the island contested the Swimwear pageant. Out of the four contenders specified below:

  • 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐍, who Azul Printers sponsored
  • 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐒, who had FLOW as the sponsor
  • 𝐊𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐄 sponsored by Carambola White Sands.
  • 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐍 sponsored by St Kitts Marriott Resort

Kellane Gayle was crowned the pageant winner in a meaningful ceremony by the former swimwear queen. Further, The position of the 1st runner-up was assigned to Toriyana Freeman. Freeman was the Miss St Kitts Marriott Resort.

St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee took to their social media to share the result. The committee congratulated the new queen and first runner-up for the swimwear Pageant. 

Notably, Pageantry in all forms is an inseparable part of the culture of St Kitts and Nevis. The people eagerly awaited the Sugar Mas festivities to return after the two-year discontinuation due to Covid-19. The anticipation of the Pageant is evident in the fact that the nation’s minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, also took to his social media to encourage the Pageant contestants ahead of the main event. 

Two of the contestants in the event’s lineup were residents of Dr Douglas’s Parliamentary Constituency, St Paul’s. Given the same, the senior politician hyped the contestants. Toriyanna Freeman and Nevilla Douglas. At the same time, he urged people of St Kitts and Nevis to support the other two contestants, Kellane Gayle and Arcadia Harrigan.

Dr Douglas also urged the people to keep supporting the Sugar Mas 51 and participate passionately in the festivities.
