India: PM Modi calls diaspora India’s Brand Ambassadors at PBD

The Indian Government celebrated the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Indore, Madhya Pradesh over three days and celebrated the Indian Diaspora

The central government of India celebrated the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The convention was hosted over three days and was an event that celebrated the Indian Diaspora worldwide. Narendra Modi, The Prime Minister of India, addressed the convention on January 9, 2023. In his address, the Prime Minister called the Indian Diaspora the brand Ambassador of India.

The Prime Minister has called upon the Pravasi Bharatiyas, or Indians on Foreign Soil, to spread the growth stories of India to the world. He has urged them to increase diaspora engagement. PM Narendra Modi wants to make the Indian Diaspora a part of the nation’s development journey.

The Prime Minster attended a diaspora connect event during the Pravasi Bhartiya convention. The event was presided over by the Union Minister of State for culture and external Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi. Union Minister of State for External Affairs confessed that she felt connected and at home at the Diaspora connect event.

The Diaspora connect event facilitated valuable, knowledgeable and wide-ranging discussion on the role of the Diaspora. It was a platform for the Pravasi Bharatiyas to realize their contribution towards the socio-economic development of their homeland. Here, the Overseas Indian Community (OIC) thanked Prime Minister Dr Narendra Modi for starting several initiatives to reconnect them to their motherland.

Author, Educator, business consultant and much sought-after speaker Shiv Khera praised the Prime Minister’s initiatives. According to him, the Prime Minister’s efforts are a way for the country to go to the next level. He further noted that the Indian Diaspora is getting more and more respect recently, under the leadership of the Modi Government.

International Motivational Speaker and a part of the Indian Diaspora, Parin Somani echoed these views. She said she did not have any words to praise the Prime Minister’s contributions. She also expressed her desire to work with him and do something for India.

Several important leaders, including the Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar, and The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, attended the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas 3-day convention and interacted with the diaspora delegations.
