Bayelsa Governor Diri visits complete state projects before 3rd year

The Bayelsa government, under the leadership of Governor Douye Diri, is completing three years in office in February 2023. Ahead of the commemoration of the event, Governor Diri inspected some ongoing projects that the Government plans to commission in the State on February 2, 2023.

The projects inspected during his visit included Government Science and Technical Colleges in Swali, Yenagoa and Sampou, the Imiringi-Elebele roundabout section of the Igbogene Outer Ring road, the Bayelsa Transport Terminal and the Bayelsa State Mopol Base, Sampou.

Meanwhile, per the update shared by the Bayelsa authorities, section 4 of the 7.6kilometers Outer Ring Road and several other projects under the Government are almost ready for commissioning.

The Bayelsa Governor initiated these visits commemorating three years of his prosperous Government. Under this initiative, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, ESV Moses Teibowei, Commissioner for Education, Gentle Emelah. Commissioner for Special Projects, Ekisah Sinkumo, the Acting Chief of Staff Government House, Peter Akpe, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Irorodamie Komonibo and other top government officials accompanied the Governor to the commissioning visits.

The Bayelsa Government’s new media shared some images of the projects that the Governor visited during his commissioning. He met and interacted with several stakeholders of the project. Meanwhile, several chiefs and heads also interacted with the authorities responsible for completing the assignments.

Earlier in February, Governor Douye Diri took to his social media to wish the people of Bayelsa the start of the new month. At the time, he also informed the people that their Government completed three years in office in February 2023. In this post, he also reiterated the positive impacts that the Government has had in their tenure. He wrote:

A lot of positive things have happened under this Government since 2020, and we shall seize the occasion to showcase a number of our completed projects and highlight some of the many worthy programmes that are touching the lives of our people.

As a people, let love continue to dwell amongst us throughout this month and beyond.
