St Kitts Department of Youth invites groups for reregisteration

The Youth Department of St Kitts has invited individuals and youth groups to register as youth-led and youth catering organizations.

The Youth Department of St Kitts has invited individuals and youth groups to register as youth-led and youth catering organizations. With the start of the new year, 2023, youth organizations must re-register themselves with the organization.

The St Kitts Department of youth empowerment took to their social media to ask individuals to register their Youth Groups & Organizations. In addition to the update, the St Kitts Department of youth empowerment also shared the benefits of registration.

According to the update, Registration with the Ministry of Youth offers many benefits! Here are a few below:

i. Provide support to groups within the capacities of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment
ii. To provide opportunities for capacity-building
iii. Training of youth leaders and members for certification
iv. Assisting with the search for international grants

The Department of Youth Empowerment further urged the individuals to visit their office on the Top Floor of The Cable Building on Cayon Street or call on their contact numbers for more information.

The Department of Youth Empowerment has also shared the process of registration.

According to the update, January 1st of each year is the official start of registration. This means that the official list of registered youth organizations reverts to zero as of this date.

As of January 1st of each year, all organizations will submit a new and complete registration form to the Department of Youth Empowerment.

Registration of youth organizations is free for the first six (6) weeks of each year.

After that, registration will incur a fee of EC$50.

The registered status of all groups ends on December 31st of each year. This is unaffected by their date of registration.
