St Kitts and Nevis recently concluded their most renowned National Carnival for 2022. The event’s festivities started in the final week of November, and the organizing committees concluded the festivities in the first week of the new year, on January 3, 2023. The 51st edition of the Sugar Mas 51 featured several events and competitions. These include:
Pageants, music festivals, music competitions and such.
St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee is the managing and organizing committee of the Sugar Mas 51. The committee has taken to its social media to extend its gratefulness to the people of St Kitts and Nevis after the successful completion of the Carnival.
They wrote a heartfelt thank you to all who made Sugar Mas 51 so spectacular on their social media account. The update of the SKNNCC detailed that the National Carnival Committee falls under the Ministry of the Creative Economy.
The Ministry comes under the purview of Minister Samal Duggins. The post further underscored that St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee wishes to thank all stakeholders who contributed to the successful staging of Sugar Mas 51.
They stated, Because of you, we can proudly say that we have created the best Carnival in the region. At the same time, St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee also announced the dates of the annual national Carnival. The Sugar Mas 52 will start from December 15 2023 to January 2 2024.
The Sugar Mas National Carnival is one of St Kitts and Nevis’s most anticipated and awaited Carnival. The 51st Edition of the Sugar Mas had the newly instated Sugar Mas Awards.
The annual Carnival Includes events like: J’ouvert Mornings, National Carnival Queen Pageant, Swimwear Pageant, Talented Teen Pageant, Grand Carnival parade, J’ouvert Parade, Soca Monarch (Junior & Senior) Calypso Monarch (Junior and Senior)
