The Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant, under the most popular national Carnival of St Kitts and Nevis, Sugar Mas 51 has successfully concluded

The Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant, under the most popular national Carnival of St Kitts and Nevis, Sugar Mas 51 has successfully concluded in the early hours of Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Eight beautiful and talented teens contested the pageant hosted at Carnival Village on December 20, 2022. 

The winning teen who was declared the queen of the Republic Bank Talented Teen Contest, Takyla Hart-Johnson, hailed from Verchilds High School and won the title of the talented teen queen.

The pageant’s first runner-up, Cajoy Isaac, hails from the Washington Archibald High School. 

The Second runner-up, Maleah Erskine, competed in the pageant, having won the title of Miss Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

Finally, the third runner-up, Mahaila Martin, comes from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School. 

Apart from clinching the crown of the Republic Bank Talented Teen Queen, Takyla Hart-Johnson of the Verchilds High School also secured four of the five other titles. 

The Talented Teen Queen, Takyla Hart-Johnson, won the following titles:

  • Ambassadorial Costume
  • Ambassadorial Speech
  • Performing Talent 
  • Onstage Interview

The third runner-up of the Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant, Makaila Martin of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School, secured the final title of the Best Teenage Evening Wear.

The leaders of St Kitts and Nevis, including the Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, Senior Leader Dr Denzil Douglas and Minister responsible for the national carnival, Samal Duggins and several other leaders, have congratulated the winners of the competition.

The Politicians took to their respective social media accounts to express their congratulations to the winning teens of the pageant.

The minister of Creative economy, who is also responsible for the execution of the National Carnival, Samal Duggins, expressed his excitement about Takyla Hart-Johnson winning the title of queen. One reason for his excitement was that the winning teen came from his alma mater, Verchilds High School. Following this, he congratulated the runners-up.

Similarly, the other leaders of St Kitts and Nevis congratulated the Talented Teen Queen and her Runners-Up, one after the other.
