The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, yesterday had a marathon meeting with the 21 TC Chairmen of Anambra State on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. The government officials hosted the marathon meeting in preparation for the yuletide.
Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, hosted the meeting.
Commander ANJET, Commander OCHA Brigade and the President General of ASATU also attended it. The organizers arranged the meeting at the SSG Hall, government house, Awka.
Governor Soludo could not physically attend the meeting. However, his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim represented him at the event with perfection. The People of Anambra know Dr Ibezim as a “Workaholic Deputy Governor“. He can always be seen at every trouble spot managing challenges and crises to help Anambra enjoy the promises of this administration.
The Issues and resolutions discussed at the meeting bordered on security, traffic management and volunteer traffic officers, waste management, village masquerade regulation/ban, checkmating touting activities, provision of the cemetery by communities and emergency palliative for earth roads, link roads and village roads to help ease traffic congestion this yuletide.
The meeting lasted for five hours and concluded with serious action plans and deployment of the necessary human resources, machinery and resources that will aid all concerned in the swift discharge of their duties.
I have been in several meetings with the Deputy Governor, and I must confess that the wisdom and knowledge he dishes out makes him a perfect pair of Nwa Mgbafor.
Governor Soludo is lucky to have such a gentleman as his deputy at this auspicious time.
The governor of Anambra, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, promised that the state of Anambra should be ready for a fun-filled, hitch-free festive season in a livable and prosperous homeland.
Governor Soludo also provided funds for all the civil servants in Anambra State to enjoy a big chicken and rice this Christmas.
