A well-known Nollywood celebrity Ada Ameh has disclosed about her mental health issues and how she has been dealing with them.
The 48-year-old actress disclosed that she had a job which she could not deliver appropriately as she was battling with mental health issues.
The Benue State-born celebrity revealed about her issues through an Instagram post on Wednesday, 15 June.
As per the actress, the company in which she got the job did not understand what she was going through and also filed a lawsuit against her.
Ameh also said that the company sued her for a huge amount, which she could not afford.
The actress began her career almost 27 years ago and accepted that the lawsuit had taken a toll on her, but she will now allow it to bring her down or kill her.
Ameh lost her only daughter in 2020 in the month of October and said, “It is taking my life.”
While sharing the video on Instagram, she also wrote a caption, stating, “Do me good. Because God is good.”
She further stated, “I have a problem right now that may also take her life, but she won’t die. She will get over it. She was given a job but didn’t do it because she had mental health issues. Will people understand it if you have mental problems? No, they wouldn’t. They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay”.
Last November, the Nollywood actress explained in an interview that how she gave birth to her daughter at just the age of 13.
In October 2020, Ms Ameh lost her daughter, named Aladi Godgift, who was around 30 years old.
Her daughter died after a failed surgery in Abuja. The actress stated that life had not stayed the same since her daughter’s death.
