Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu has felicitated Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba on his turbaning ceremony as the Bango Kaltungo. Mia Kaltungo, His Royal Highness, Sale Muhammad Umar, Deputy Chairman, Gombe State Traditional Rulers Council, conducted the turbaning ceremony. Ambassador Timothy Nwachukwu is the Country Director African Ambassadors Network Forum (AANEF) and the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burundi
Following this, Ambassador Nwachukwu interacted with the reporters in Gombe State. Here he described Ambassador Onyeagba as a worthy Nigerian Ambassador. According to Ambassador Timothy, Onyeagba’s solid diplomatic imprint in Bujumbura, Burundi East Africa, has continued to attract recognition in Nigeria and across Africa.
Following this, he stated, “African Ambassadors Network Forum is proud of the laudable achievements of Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba. Further, he described him as the youngest and most outstanding Nigerian Ambassador accredited to the Republic of Burundi.
Talking to the media, Ambassador Nwachukwu revealed Onyeagba’s array of achievements. The achievements include:
- The establishment of the Nigeria-Burundi Joint Commission,
- Establishment of Nigeria-Burundi Business Council,
- Establishment of Nigeria-Burundi Business Summit (which birthed a plethora of Memorandum of Understanding)
- Improved government-to-government policy dealing and interactions (GtoG) between the two economies and other Nigerian top Private/Public Sector players”.
Reportedly, African Ambassadors Network Forum aligns with the Gombe Emirate that His Excellency Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba has shown great sterling qualities as an exceptional Youthful achiever whose imprint in both private and public domains serves as a motivation for the younger generation.
According to Engr. Sale Muhammad Umar, Mia Kaltungo and Deputy Chairman Gombe State Traditional Rulers Council have given him the traditional title of Bango Kaltungo in recognition of the sterling exemplary leadership qualities of the Ambassador. Additionally, they recognize his keen interest in developing the Kaltungo Chiefdom and his extraordinary achievements in Burundi, East Africa.
Meanwhile, Sale Muhammad Umar urged the youngest Nigerian diplomat to remain resilient in his giant strides.
