Gov Soludo recognizes Livinus Ezenwa as traditional ruler of Umuomaku

The Governor of Anambra, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has presented a Certificate of Recognition to Chief Livinus Obinna Ezenwa. He is the officially recognized and certified Traditional Ruler Of the Umuomaku Community in the Orumba South Local Government Area.

Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, was present on the ground to take care of all the preparations before the presentation ceremony where the new traditional ruler met interacted with Governor Soludo for official recognition.

This historic event took place on Thursday, December 9, 2022. The venue where The Anambra authorities hosted the event was right inside the Exco Chambers of the government house Awka. All the renowned stakeholders of the Umuomaku Community attended the presentation ceremony.

Following the event at the Exco Chambers, Igwe Livinus was received by the waiting arms of indigenes of his community who came out in their numbers with drummers and musicians, giving life to the charged atmospheres.

On top of everything, the opponents who lost to Igwe Livinus were all seen at the venue congratulating him. They were also hugging him with joy. The elections for the traditional ruler of the community were free and fair.

It is worth a mention that several months ago, A leadership crisis surrounded the Umuomaku Community. The situation further left the people without an elected President General of the town union and no Traditional Ruler for the people.

Reportedly, the town was under the control of anarchists, local warlords and power mongers. They made the community ungovernable and unlivable for people living within and outside. This continued until the Soludo government stepped in to restore peace and order.

Most Anambra communities with leadership crises are now peaceful. The government hopes to achieve more success in December as the people prepare to return home for their Annual General Meetings. Here where the people would elect new leaders. The government is ready. Governor Soludo promised to give Ndi Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland. He is also diligently working towards achieving that daily.
