Denmark Royal Couple visits India on 4 day visit

The Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark, Frederik Andre Henrik Christian and Mary Elizabeth, are on a trip to India for a four-day diplomatic visit. The couple reached India on Monday, February 2023. During the four-day trip, The couple met and interacted with several important leaders and political leaders of the country through the meeting. The meetings served to develop the relationship between India and Denmark.

During their first meeting, the royal couple of Denmark, Crown Prince and Princess met with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Following this, they paid their respects at the raj Ghat to Mahatma Gandhi. Meanwhile, they talked to the Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar. During the meeting, they discussed sustainability and digital delivery.

Talking about the meeting in a subsequent tweet, Minister Jaishankar shared that they discussed various aspects of the new India. Additionally, the couple met the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife, Sudesh Dhankar.

India and Denmark share a positive relationship. The trip of the Denmark royals would strengthen the relationship further. The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, also believes the same. She noted that India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership had catalyzed enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

In line with this thought, Crown Prince Frederik Andre Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth visited the Taj Mahal in Agra. During the said trip, Crown Prince Frederik will address the India-Denmark: Partners for Green & Sustainable Progress opening session organized by CII.

Crown Prince Frederik Andre Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth will travel to Chennai as a part of this trip and depart from the city from there. The Minister of External Affairs published a press release noting that the royal couple’s visit is the first from the dutch royal family in two decades.
