A meeting was held at Usmanu Danfodiyo University under the auspicious leadership of Prof. Lawal Suleiman Bilbis.
A total of 12 universities from several states participated in the event.

The consortium will enhance collaboration among the universities to leverage technology to improve teaching, research and community engagement. The consortium will soon be established.
A three-member technical committee has been set up. The committee will be led by the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto as the Chairman, as well as the Vice-Chancellor Iconic Open University, alongside the Vice-Chancellor of Umaru Musa Yaraduwa University as members. The main aim of the committee is to develop the implementation plans of the consortium.
It is expected that upon implementation, the idea of the consortium will enhance the educational delivery of universities in the zone on a local, national and global scale.
Iconic University also participated in a meeting for the formation of a consortium of universities.
But before this, Iconic University also visited the Northwest University, Sokoto.
The Iconic University officials went to the Main Campus of Northwest University.
The Management of Iconic University was at the Main Campus of Northwest University in Sokoto to establish a cordial working relationship between both institutions. The Iconic University Team was led by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Shadi Sabeh and received by Prof.
Ahmed Maigari Ibrahim and other Principal Officers of Northwest University.
Discussions centred around strengthening the bond between the two institutions towards a collaborative partnership that will advance the cause of both education in the country and beyond.
