Since the death of Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022, “Mera Na” will mark the third posthumous release from the musician’s team. Meanwhile, Punjabi-British records producer Steel Banglez, the “Mera Na” producer, also took to his social media to share the first updates of the collaboration’s release. He shared that Sidhu Moose Wala was extremely excited to work on this project with the African Giant.
The Punjabi-British Records Producer shared that at the time of the song’s recording, Moose Wala told him he would never forget this project. Following the demise of the Punjabi singer-songwriter in 2022, Burna Boy prioritised bringing this collaboration to the world. Nigeria’s music sensation wanted to get the song to the people in “loving memory of Moosewala”.
In line with this, Producer Steel Banglez expressed that he feels so blessed and honoured to have two of the biggest icons in the world on one record together. Fusing two cultures to create the monster record that is “Mera Na” (Your Name Lives Forever).
