Taraba: The Ministry Announced the first “Hackathon.”

Awards will be distributed to the deserving participants

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation, Taraba State, is about to launch the maiden edition of the Digital Talent Hunt “Hackathon”.

The event will take place at Tim Royal Hotel from the 13th to the 15th of November, 2023.
The event will commence at 4 pm on the 13th of November, 2023.

Governor Dr Agbu Kefas has set a visionary course for Taraba State, one that leads to a prosperous digital.

The Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Gideon Samuel Nonso of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation, in partnership with Sandlip Digital Consulting, presents the first TARABA,HACKATHON.

The theme of the event is “Moving Forward through Digital Innovations.”

This initiative provides the youths with the opportunity to showcase their skills and ability to proffer digital solutions to our challenges in key sectors of Health, Agriculture, Education and E-commerce.

The ministry encourages the participants to register as soon as possible as the registration for the hackathon will be closed on Friday; no participant will be allowed to register after Friday.

There are many advantages of this hackathon:
Participants get a mentoring opportunity from big players within the ecosystem.
Participants have a chance to showcase their products for possible incubation.
They are offered FREE accommodation and compulsory camping
Free feeding for the duration of the event and
Opportunity to partner With the MODE&I for the execution of the Taraba DT Initiative.
Participating students from the Federal University,
Wukari and Federal Polytechnic Bali will be offered free transportation.

There will be many prizes for the participants, like over one million naira of cash awards will be distributed, and Google Scholarships will be given, which is sponsored by Roothub Taraba.

2. Muyiwa Fasakin, Creative Intelligence Expert and founder of the Global League of Creative Intelligence Certified Coaches (GLCICC), Texas, US.
