Adegboyega Oyetola, the Osun State Governor, has released an amount of one billion, that is, one hundred million naira, as part of its affirmation to enhance the welfare of retired civil servants as well as workers of the state.
In a press release that was signed by the Head of Service, Festus Olowogboyega Oyebade, the amount of six hundred million nairas (N 600,000,000) out of the released amount was for the compensation of retired primary school teachers and government workers.
He further added that an additional five hundred million naira was authorised to pay contributory pensions of retired officials of the civil service and parastatals.
As per the release, the selected retired officers are to get their bonds on Thursday, June 2, at the Local Government Service Commission Multipurpose Hall, Osun State Secretariat, Abere.
Additionally, the list of beneficiaries of the authorised amount has been put on the notice board of the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, the State’s Pension Bureau and the Office of the Head of Service.
He ensured all workers, both retired and serving, of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s commitment always to make their welfare the first priority on the whole and that nothing would be permitted to block all things necessary to make them progress.
Adegboyega Oyetola is a politician in the country of Nigeria and Governor of Osun State. He contested the Osun State gubernatorial contender at the venue of the All Progressives Congress for the September 22, 2018, gubernatorial election, and he won.
Oyetola has taken this decision in regard to his commitment to improving the welfare of retired officers as well as their families so that they could still lead a satisfactory life even after retirement. The source of income after retirement is thwarted, and to prevent that, this decision has been executed and will be soon provided.
