Nigerian celebrity Ada Ameh died at the age of 48 on Sunday, July 17, after battling mental health issues for some time now. Two years ago she also lost her only daughter on October 20, 2020.
The star actress of ‘The Johnsons’ was stated to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop located in the Delta State and his family when she collapsed suddenly.
It was found that she was taken immediately to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but had died before they reached at the hospital.
Ameh, who played the lead role of Anita in the film ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, is well-known for her comic characters, particularly for the series ‘The Johnsons’.
The news of her death comes two weeks after she came on the show ‘Your View’ on TVC, in which she opened up more regarding the problems that she has been experiencing for the past few years, as well as she also gave advice to the ones going through it.
She said that burying eight of her family members, including her only daughter, made her die several times.
Before the year 2020, the Nollywood actress lost six of her siblings.
Then, on October 20, 2020, she lost her only child, whom she gave birth to at the age of 14.
With the loss of so many loved ones, she started having mental health issues and was battling with ill-health when she lost all her hope after losing another sister in March 2022.
Ada Ameh shared her last video on Instagram just a few hours before her death in which she was eating with her family around 12:53 pm on Sunday, July 17.
Several of her fans have filled the comment section of her Instagram post and have expressed shock over the sudden demise of a Nigerian actress.
