The founder of the Nigeria-based Land of Hope, Anja Ringgren Loven, recently shared her gratitude to the NGO supporters who helped them secure treatment for a child in their care, Victory. Like several other children at the NGO, he did not get a good beginning. The recent update that Anja shared concerned the health issues that he was facing. Anja is highly committed to the welfare of the children of Land of Hope.

Accordingly, she stated, I have had many shocks through the years. When I get a phone call, one of the children has been in an accident or rushed to the hospital. Monday, June 26, 2023, was one of those days. Victory fought for his life in hospital for more than six months right after the NGO rescued him. He had a deadly tetanus infection that caused Victory several body spasms.

Even though he had several seizures while hospitalized, Victory survived. He has been living at Land of Hope for over three years, enjoying his new life. But on Monday, Victory had an epileptic attack, fell to the ground, and hit his head. The fall caused a major head trauma injury, and our staff at Land of Hope rushed him to the hospital.

During the night, the doctors controlled the bleeding and stabilized Victory. They needed to find out the cause of Victory´s epileptic attack. Therefore they called for support for MR brain scanning, x-ray and proper examination. I find trust in knowing that Victory is determined to survive and he is a fighter. That´s why we named him Victory.

Following the first post, the NGO received several donations. Many people reached out with assistance for the treatment of Victory. Anja Ringgren Loven expressed her profound gratitude to the people for their assistance. She confessed that she felt highly overwhelmed by the support that victory recieved in the previous day.

Subsequently, she shared an update on the health of the young boy and clarified that he is now stable and better.
