The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, received the newly appointed Managing Director of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA). The meeting with Engr. Faisal Mahmud took place on July 21, 2023. He was on a Courtesy Visit.
During the meeting, the Managing Director of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Faisal Mahmuddelivered remarks. He stated, “We thank God Almighty for allowing us to be at the Headquarters of Kano State Police Command. Our coming here to pay you a courtesy visit is a must because, without the Police, we can not achieve our mandate. This is my first courtesy visit because of the importance of the Police to us.
Whoever is in Kano must appreciate the effort of the Police in crime fighting. I must also commend the State Commissioner of Police for ensuring peace prevail in the State. We really appreciate the support my office receives from the Police. We will continue to seek your support, guidance and cooperation. Thank you for warmest receiving the CP, sir.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel. stated, “I welcome you to Bompai, the Headquarters of Kano State Police Command. Further, I congratulate you on your appointment and thank you for finding time to visit the Command officers.
Also, note that the police command is aware of the enormous responsibility Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) is playing in complementing the effort of the Police to ensure smooth traffic flow and road crash reduction. Since my assumption of duty, I saw your men’s dedication, most worthy of commendation.
We must also appreciate the officers for taking additional responsibility towards crime fighting in conjunction with the Police, especially while conducting multi-agency operations. Policing is a collective responsibility; therefore, we will give you all the necessary support and cooperation to succeed.
I pray Almighty Allah to guide you in discharging your duties. We wish you all the best in your new office. The visit ended with a presentation of souvenirs to the Managing Director by the Commissioner of Police.
