The police officials of Sindh have arrested Ali Haider Zaidi, the senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. The authorities detained him on charges of fraud and threats. The politician’s arrest occurred on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The police officials of Sindh recieved the first incident report against the politician. In the FIR, the city’s resident accused the politician of issuing threats and committing fraud.
Additionally, the media sources have recognized the resident as Fazal Elahi. He complained against the politician at the Ibrahim Hyderi Police Station in Sindh. The political party and its politicians are finding themselves in the grasp of several legal issues.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that these issues have increased since April 2022. In April 2022, the political party lost the confidence of the people of Pakistan. Following this, the authorities introduced a no-confidence motion against the political party’s leadership.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Ali Haider Zaidi has defended her father after his arrest. She believes that the police authorities are detaining her father for defending the sovereignty and respect of Pakistan. She asserted that her father had served the country with integrity and honesty.
The politician’s daughter, Sacha Ali Zaidi, has argued how a nation can prosper if the authorities arrest the individuals who are standing for the nation’s benefit. The high-level politicians of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) have also taken a stand in favour of the politician.
The senior vice president of PTI, Shireen Mazari, has taken the opportunity to term the detention of Zaidi as condemnable and illegal. Further, the politician in question is the president of the Sindh Chapter of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI). The politician also served as the Minister of Maritime Affairs in the government of Pakistan.
This was when the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was leading the country until their power eviction in April 2022 after the no-confidence motion
