The three-day event will attract literary experts from across the globe. The event’s previous editions attracted prominent authors such as Ruskin Bond and Vikram Seth. Bhutanese author Aum Kunzang Choden is also one of the notable attendants of the event. Through this event, India and Bhutan can exchange ideas and creativity between two communities.

The queen mother of Bhutan, Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, understands the importance of exchanging ideas and cultural values. Accordingly, she sponsors the Literature festival annually. Notably, The queen’s mother is a celebrated and revered author in Bhutan. She has written poetry, essays and much more on topics relevant to the country. She has also sponsored and edited several books, poems and articles on these issues.
