Saint Lucia Tourism Authority arranged a Caribcation Saint Lucia showcase at Giftland Mall in Guyana. The Authority hosted the event on Saturday, February 4, 2023. With this event, the tourism authority seeks to increase awareness and knowledge concerning the country in the wider Caribbean region. The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority took to its social media account to share some highlights from the event.
According to the update shared by the tourism authority, Guyana is now more informed about Saint Lucia. They credited the Caribcation Saint Lucia showcase for the development. The interactive showcase welcomed thousands of enthusiastic patrons to the event. The attendants learned about Saint Lucia’s adventure, culinary, romance, wellness options, and more.
Further, the Tourism Authority stated that the visitors to the showcase were delighted to interact with and purchase on-the-spot packages with hotel partners: Stolentime, Bay Gardens Resorts, and Harmony Marina Suites. The visitors also had the opportunity to engage with knowledgeable Guyanese-based travel agents who joined the showcase.
Visitors to the mall learned of the direct flight the government plans to introduce with British Airways. The flight will run between Guyana and Saint Lucia on March 27, 2023. The service will operate on Mondays and Thursdays. Further, it will serve as another option to the destination alongside Caribbean Airlines and InterCaribbean.
The overall mission forms part of the Authority’s strategy to increase tourist visits and related opportunities for Saint Lucia. Meanwhile, they also seek to promote Saint Lucia as a preferred tourist destination in partnership with the Guyana Tourism Authority.
The Tourism Authority of the country further informed that One lucky patron to the Caribcation Saint Lucia showcase would walk away with an all-expense paid 5-night trip for two to the Bay Gardens Beach Resort. The authorities will conduct the draw on February 7, 2023. Further, they will announce the winner on Caribcation Saint Lucia’s social media channels.
