The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, met with the residents of his constituency Tunnel Hill on February 1, 2023. The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia hosts these community meetings regularly to ensure that he can keep communication lines open for the people of his constituency.
Hilaire shared some glimpses from the community meeting hosted on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Several residents from Tunnel Hill were present at the meeting to participate in these discussions. Meanwhile, Talking about the meetings, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investment and Creative Economy Hilaire noted that through these meetings, he gets the chance to interact with his constituents.
According to him, These meetings are an opportunity for him to listen to his constituents’ concerns and find ways to address them. Since the community meetings take place at regular intervals, several members of the constituency and community members made an effort to attend the meeting.
During the meetings, then members of the community interacted with their parliamentary representative. Reportedly, they communicated several community concerns to the Deputy Prime Minister. Hillaire noted in his social media post that these meetings with the community members motivate him to work in their best interests.
He also promised to continue working on behalf of the people of his constituency.
