Burna Boy pays tribute to slain Indian singer Sidhu Moosewala during concert

Nigerian superstar and singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, famously known as ‘Burna Boy’, got emotional on stage at a concert held in Zimbabwe on Friday, 3 June, over the brutal murder of an Indian singer, Sidhu Moose Wala aka Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu.

Burna Boy performed for the second time in Zimbabwe and witnessed long queues of people despite the chilly weather in the country on the day of his performance.

Sidhu Moose Wala was an Indian singer, politician, rapper, actor, and songwriter linked with Punjabi music and the Punjabi industry. The young singer was assassinated on 29 May 2022 and was loved worldwide.

The singer/politician was shot dead in Punjab when travelling in his S.U.V. car and two others. Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi (currently lodged in Tihar jail), took responsibility for the murder on social media.

Moose Wala got worldwide attention in 2018 after releasing his song “So High”. Then, in 2019 his song “47” was ranked on the U.K. Singles Chart.

He was also renowned for his controversial writing style of songs, often promoting gun violence while challenging religious sentiments.

Meanwhile, the singer/politician was loved by all the communities of the world, and this can be witnessed through the performance of Nigerian songwriter and Performing artist Burna Boy, who cried on stage while paying tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala and sang in between his performance “Rest In Peace Sidhu Moose Wala”.

The superstar of Nigeria was seen getting emotional and crying while remembering Indian fame Sidhu Moose Wala. Several videos are being surfaced on social media of him crying on stage.

Burna Boy got stardom in 2012 after he released his song “Like to Party”, the leading single from his debut studio album named as ‘L.I.F.E.’. He also got the award for Best International Act in the 2019 Bet Awards.

The Nigerian singer also expresses his grief on his Twitter handle.
