The Minister of External Affairs in the government of India, S Jaishankar, has strongly condemned the Khalistan activists for the incidents of Vandalism that have been happening in the world. Minister of External Affairs has asserted that India’s government has vehemently opposed the incident of disrespect of the Indian tricolour.
Additionally, The Minister stated that the government would not accept the pulling down of the national flag of India. He made these remarks at an event in Dharwad on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Jaishankar shared that there are times when the government would take the matter lightly. He shared that
Meanwhile the government representative asserted that this is not India which will accept its national flag pulled down by somebody. He further noted that he wanted to share the message with the Khalistanis and the Britishers. He asserted that this is the flag of India, and they will make the flag even bigger if someone disrespects it.
Additionally, The Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed the media about the government’s plans to deal with hate and vandalism incidents. He asserted that they are witnessing these incidents in several places. These countries include, Canada, London, Australia, San Francisco and such.
According to Minister Jaishankar, the incident’s perpetrators have several interests behind the incidents. He suspects some of these interests are from the neighbours, and others’ interests are personal or visa related. According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, S Jaishankar, these perpetrators want to use the situation to their advantage.
The Minister asserted that it is the responsibility of foreign nations to provide security to the embassies of India. He reasoned that the government of India offers protection to several foreign embassies. Meanwhile, he stated that if the security of the embassies is not taken seriously by the government overseas, it would result in a reaction from the government of India.
