Dominica: Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Minister of Housing and Urban Development of Dominica shared her overwhelming expression while announcing the near completion of the housing project in the Scott’s Head, Dominica.
The Minister highlighted that the site is great and the beautiful place which boasts breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. She added that it is one of the most beautiful housing projects in Dominica.
The Housing Minister shared the glimpses of the site on her social media where she outlined that the authorities are committed, are providing new homes to the citizens just after the Hurricane Beryl had an impact on the island’s southern tip.
As well, she highlighted that with the completion of the housing project at the Scott’s Head, it will become the first of ten planned sites. And, the country will soon welcome sixteen deserving families.
This projected is completely being funded by the Citizenship by Investment Programme. It covers the area of 12, 207 square metres and involves the construction of three bedroom bungalow units and single bedroom duplexes.
Considerably, the bungalow units have a spacious living and kitchen area with the three comfortable bedrooms and two modern bathrooms, having laundry area and paved outdoor area that adjoins the house.
And, the Single Bedroom units under this will have a cozy living and kitchen area. Along with which, there will be one bathroom, a laundry area, and a shared veranda. Significantly, almost 95% of the work is completed and the rest which is left is being supervised by the MMC Development.
The work which is being supervised by the MMC Development includes interior finishes, MEP fixtures and landscaping. Interestingly, it is expected that the site will welcome its residents in the fourth quarter of the year.
The near completion of such a project is not just about building homes. What it is about is creating the community where safety, comfort and advanced living can come together and offer great experiences.
