It is to be noted that Dominica’s strong dedication in standing with other nations in terms of crisis shows its commitment in maintaining global peace, security, and mutual respect.Â
Furthermore, the two counterparts have a great relationship with each other. Both the Prime Ministers met each other in Guyana during PM Modi’s visit to Caribbean nations to strengthen ties and foster cooperation.
During their bilateral meeting, they discussed various ways for future collaboration to develop Dominica and India both on a national and international level.
Democratic ties between Dominica and India
Dominica and India share a long-standing bilateral bond which is based on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared interests and values. The two nation’s collaborated on several occasions and sectors, including capacity-building programs, healthcare, and climate resilience projects.
Dominica established diplomatic ties with India in 1981. Moreover, Dominica’s Division of Agriculture signed an MoU for cooperation in education and research in agriculture and allied areas in October 2011 with India’s Department of Agricultural Research and Education.
