The police have discovered the dead body of a 28-year-old lady in a hotel room in Lagos. The discovery was made after a man checked into the hotel with her. The man allegedly abandoned the victim.

According to the sources, The police authorities have recognized the said man. As stated on the receipt provided by the hotel receptionist, he went by Kelvin and left the lady behind in the room.


The incident of the apparent homicide in Lagos comes only three months after the death of the fashion seller on Instagram, Adeshina Olayinka. She was also popularly known as Khadi. The inter was also discovered dead in a hotel room in Ibadan. To add to the similarity of the two situations, after the man she spent the night with also left the premises of the hotel.

The incidents ending in homicides of women in hotel rooms and the men accompanying them being on the run is not new. The incidents have been piling on the Nigerian authorities.

In November last year, the police found the body of a 46-year-old woman in one of the rooms of a guest house in the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu in Lagos. Meanwhile the man she came with was nowhere to be found.

Further, in November 2022, the corpse of a 16-year-old girl, Nengi Enenimiete, was found dead. The culprit had hidden the corpse inside the wardrobe of a hotel. The incident happened in Twon Brass Island in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Earlier in June, Police in Kwara State found the corpse of a woman in the Premium Diamond Hotel.The hotel is in the Adewole area of the Ilorin metropolis. At the time, The man that the victim spent the night with sneaked out without the knowledge of any of the hotel staff.

On Saturday, 30th April 2022, a young lady in her 20s, identified as Ugochi Nworie, was murdered in a popular hotel in Ebonyi after being said to have encountered some “strange” men at the hotel after a party that lasted into the night.


The authorities state that the men who came to the hotel with a saloon car was called “Colonel”. The man negotiated to give the victim N50,000 to let one of them spend the night with her. The victim eventually agreed to this arrangement.

Her lifeless body was discovered in the hotel Sunday afternoon with vital organs, including eyes and breasts missing. In October last year, an unidentified lady was found dead in a hotel in Calabar, where the victim was said to have lodged with a man on the run.
