Popular Cameroonian pop star, fashion designer and entrepreneur based in America, Reprudencia Ndong Sonkey, has sued the daughter of the Cameroonian President, Paul Biya, for defamation. The Cameroonian pop star took Anastasie Brenda Biya Eyenga to court and asked the public figure to compensate her emotional losses.
Further, Reprudencia Ndong Sonkey is famous for the general public by her stage name Dencia has worked with industry stalwarts like Lady Gaga, Chris Brown and 50 Cent. The public figure claimed that Anastasie Brenda Biya Eyenga had defamed her, causing her emotional distress and loss of earnings.
Meanwhile, The daughter of the politician publicly defamed her and called her a drug dealer and a prostitute. She made these derogatory claims on her social media on a public platform. The derogatory remarks caused the Cameroon-based pop star and entrepreneur loss her reputation. She sued Anastasie Brenda Biya Eyenga on March 15. The case is filed in the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles
Additionally, The US-based Cameroonian Artist and entrepreneur has claimed damages amounting to 66.9 billion francs through the lawsuit. The entrepreneur claimed to the media that Anastasie Brenda Biya Eyenga made me lose a lot of money with her lies. She urged the daughter of the Cameroonian president to stop lying to people.
Further, The Cameroonian national also informed the media that when she gave her the option to withdraw, Anastasie Brenda Biya Eyenga threatened the family of the Cameroonian artist. She even stated that I couldn’t go to Cameroon.” Dencia made these remarks in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, For the lawsuit, Reprudencia Ndong Sonkey, known as Dencia is claiming damages for defamation of character, loss of present earnings, loss of future earnings, emotional distress and medical expenses which were a direct result of Brenda Biya’s statements. Dencia claimed that the lawsuit is against Brenda and others who joined her to defame her character. Apart from the civil lawsuit in the US, Dencia says she has also filed a criminal case of defamation in Switzerland against Brenda Biya.
