Anambra transition chairman takes on diplomatic journey

Dr Anselm Onuorah Transition Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, recently attended the 5th Biannual African Philosophy World Conference. For this meeting, he took an exciting and enlightening journey. He travelled to various countries in Africa.

The conference brought together philosophical minds from across Africa. The event was crucial in creating a platform for in-depth discussions on African philosophical trajectories. The attendants of the event placed a particular focus on the theme, “Gender Dimensions of African Philosophy.”

From the bustling streets of Enugu to the historic landscapes of Ethiopia and Uganda, Dr Anselm embarked on a voyage of intellectual discovery. The focal point of this extraordinary gathering was Gulu University in Uganda, where philosophical luminaries from various corners of the continent convened to delve into the complex dimensions of African philosophy.

During his week-long stay in Uganda, Dr Anselm described his experience as nothing short of remarkable. It offered not only personal growth but also a unique opportunity to enhance his leadership skills. Importantly, it served as a global platform to explore investment prospects in Anambra East, with participants hailing from diverse parts of the world.

The Transition Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area returned to Nigeria on September 25, 2023. After his return to the country, Dr Anselm Onuorah met two officials of the Anambra state government:

  • Commissioner for Transport Anambra State Barr Patricia Igwebuike
  • Commissioner for Local Government Community and Chieftaincy Affairs, Tony Collins Nwabunwanne

These leaders embarked on a 3 day working visit to the Lagos State Ministry of Transport. The primary objective of this visit was to gain comprehensive insights into the structural and operational aspects of Lagos State’s transport system.

This endeavor holds particular significance as Dr Anselm leads the only Local Government in Anambra State with a recognized maritime unit. It demonstrates his commitment to exploring innovative solutions and best practices to enhance the transport system within Anambra East LGA.
