Kano: Three-day workshop program themed: Enhancing Education and Research in Nigeria: use of Drosophila as an Effective Teaching and Learning Aid.
The Program was organised by Droso4Nigeria in collaboration with BioRTC, FlyBase, TreND and some other developmental partners.
The Program was headed by a co-founder of Droso4Nigeria and the Director of the Program, Dr Rashidatu Abdulazeez of the Department of Zoology of A.B.U Zaria.
It was an extensive workshop program that enriched our minds with valuable experience, skills and knowledge in the use of Drosophila melanogaster for teaching and learning as well as Research.
The Program was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor K. Bala, who was represented by Professor R.B Bako, the deputy vice-chancellor of the university.
However, the Program was attended physically and virtually by renowned international and local professionals in science, Biology and Research.
