Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit meets Opp leader Jesma Paul

The prime minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit met with the leader of the opposition, Jesma Paul at the Office of the Prime Minister on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

The Prime Minister who heads the majority and the government of the commonwealth of Dominica takes takes an interest in the issues that the people of his country are facing. He also makes his best efforts to ascertain a course of action to get ahead of the said issues. Accordingly, he met with the leader of the opposition in the office of the Prime Minister.

Dr Roosevelt Skerrit took the opportunity to share the udate of the meeting on his social media account. He shared that during the meeting, He and leader of the opposition, Jesma Paul discussed a plethora of issues in the country. Skerrit also shared several images from the meeting.

He shared that during the meeting, they discussed the maintenance of farm access roads, the Salisbury Health Centre upgrade, and the Coulibistrie River’s dredging.

During these discussions with the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, the leader of the opposition of, Paul also made a case for assistance to place speed bumps near the Coulibistrie Primary School. He urged the Commonwealth of Dominica prime minister to install streetlights in Salisbury and enhance the Salisbury beachfront to spur economic activity.

Dr Roosevelt Skerrit assured the leader of the opposition, Jesma Paul of his intention to soon visit her constituency for a first-hand assessment of these and other project ideas.

The people of the country applauded Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and leader of the opposition, Jesma Paul, for their gesture of working together. Social media user, Clayton Felix applauded the teamwork between the two leaders. He wrote, Prime Minister Skerritt has shown over and over again that he is the Prime Minister for all Dominicans not just for Labour Party supporters but also the opposition districts.
