St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew to celebrate 50 years of CARICOM

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, travelled to the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He will attend the three-day Forty-Fifth (45th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, travelled to the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He will attend the three-day Forty-Fifth (45th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community. The CARICOM will host the event over three days, from July 3 to July 5. The event is being hosted ahead of the 50th anniversary of CARICOM

During the three-day meeting, Dr Drew will participate in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of CARICOM. The celebration of the fiftieth Anniversary of the Caribbean Community will take place in Trinidad and Tobago. Further, The event will feature several Caribbean leaders alongside Dr Drew. The leaders in attendance at the three-day event alongside the prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, include:

  • Larry Vaughan, Saint Kitts and Nevis’ Plenipotentiary Representation to CARICOM
  • Glenroy Blanchette, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office
  • Bjorn Hazel, Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Kervin “Infamous” Benjamin, Musical Ambassador to Ministry of Sports and Creative Economy.

Meanwhile, the people of St Kitts and Nevis will also celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The authorities will host the celebratory event at the Independence Square in Basseterre, St Kitts.

The celebration of the 50th Anniversary will include several entertainment activities. Additionally, The celebration will feature the musical ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Sports and Creative Economy. He will also assist with the entertainment of the 50th-anniversary celebration.

The celebration event will include Food Fair and Entertainment. The entertainment will feature Erica Edwards DeJour DJ Tero and EK alongside Infamus. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Further, The event will start from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Meanwhile, The CARICOM Fifth Anniversary celebration will take place under the theme: “50 Years Strong: A Solid Foundation to Build On”.

St Kitts and Nevis, under the leadership of Dr Terrance Drew, will be one of the countries that host these events. The authorities at St Kitts and Nevis will also live stream the celebration event.
