PM Drew meets H.E. Adel AI Jubeir, secures scholarship for SKN students in Saudi Arabia

PM Terrance Drew met H.E. Adel AI Jubeir- the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia to discuss scholarship plans for SKN students.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew engaged in talks with H.E. Adel AI Jubeir, serving as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss the scholarships plans for the SKN students.

He highlighted that he has secured scholarships for the SKN students studying in Saudi Arabia, which will be available to them later this year. The meeting also focused on ideas for the transformation of SKN’s energy sector.

The event took place on the side-lines of the 46th Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Heads Conference on Wednesday. The collaboration between both nations will open multiple opportunities for the development of Saudi Arabia and St Kitts and Nevis.

PM Drew is seeking to transform his country’s energy sector in the name of climate, sustainability, and economic transformation. Moreover, Foreign Affairs Minister Jubeir expressed his commitment on behalf of Saudi Arabia to contribute to the development of CARICOM nations. 

The Saudi nation further proposes offering a number of scholarships to CARICOM countries to encourage people to exchange and maintain peaceful relations with them.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share information about his ongoing projects with people.

“I had a fruitful discussion with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Adel AI Jubeir on the side-lines of the 46th Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Heads Conference. Saint Kitts and Nevis is grateful for the partnership with Saudi Arabia toward the transformation of our energy sector in the name of climate, resilience, sustainability, and economic transformation”, added PM Drew. 

This productive meeting is expected to bring positive outcomes which will benefit both countries in their development. The meeting displayed a spirit of strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and CARICOM nations.
