Cameroon: Road accident leaves one dead after being dragged behind truck

The Bafoussam region of Cameroon witnessed a tragic road rash incident on Friday Afternoon, April 28, 2023. The road accident resulted in the death of the victim, Christian Sandio. The victim was a local of the area. At the time of the incident, he was driving his motorcycle around the Tamba crossroads. The authorities have suggested that road accidents and deaths related to road accidents are rising in the area.

The reports suggest that the victim was driving around the Tamba crossroads. A few minutes later, a semi-trailer tried to overtake the victim and get ahead of the man. In their attempt to do so, the Semi-Trailer caught the victim’s clothes, and the victim got entangled in the truck. Following this, he lost grip over his vehicle, and the semi-trailer involved in the incident dragged the victim behind him for several miles.

The victim, Christian Sandio, was dragged after the wheels of the semi-truck for a considerable distance. Following this, he eventually succumbed to his death due to an unforeseen and unfortunate incident. Several onlookers witnessed the incident taking place. They have expressed that they are shocked by the happenings.

The people have expressed their shock and sorrow at the incident through social media accounts. They left to rest in peace in RIP messages for the deceased road accident victim. Cameroon has witnessed several incidents where people died due to road accidents. Recently, a truck transporting sand crushed a bus with several students of GTHS Ombe on board.

The incident resulted in the death of several students, and several others suffered serious injuries and wounds. The tragic accident happened on March 31 in Moliwe, a village in Fako Division, South West Region of Cameroon.

Further, a prominent member of the Cameroon film industry, video vixen and actor Nanje Ramesh, also died recently due to a road accident. The actor was involved in an accident on April 11 while travelling to Limbe, South West region.
