Timothy Nwachukwu, the chief executive editor of the Global Advocate Magazine, has taken to his social media account to share his opinion and “take” about the widely circulated Achraf Hakimi and Hiba Abouk Divorce case. The good governance advocate discussed the case on a social post and shared his observations.
The news has been doing the rounds on social media since yesterday, April 14, 2023. It is a matter of great intrigue and discussion among social media users. The footballer, Achraf Hakimi’s wife, filed for divorce recently. During the divorce proceedings, Hiba Abouk discovered that the footballer had no property to his name. Notably, all his earnings were in his mother’s name.
The action of the footballer prevented him from losing his hard-earned money to the divorce settlement. The divorce case proceedings have earned the footballer a lot of acclaims. The Online community has since crowned him the African Man of the Year. Meanwhile, they call on the African football Governing body to recognise him for his feat.
After discussing the internet’s reaction, Timothy Nwachukwu presented his take on the situation. My humble take is as follows:
He believes that in the case of Achraf Hakimi, the culture of the footballer and his own are different. Accordingly, Ambassador Nwachukwu stated that he does not know the circumstances that led to their Marriage. He also expressed that he is curious if the couple married properly.
Secondly, the editor-in-chief asserted that the footballer must have learnt from the failures of other footballers. Several footballers and athletes have lost their life earnings to their wives. Accordingly, Hakimi may have chosen to tread carefully. Moreso, he knows the woman he married and her character. Hence his decision to take the step by ensuring that all his wealth is in his mother’s name.
Lastly, Ambassador Timothy noted that before you say I do, ensure that your partner is someone you will be willing to spend the rest of your life with. He added that Marriage is a beautiful institution ordained by God. When you marry the right partner, you will not consider keeping things away from your soul mate.
