Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew attended the opening ceremony of Six Senses La Sagesse Hotel in Grenada on Monday. His presence at the ceremony reflects his gracious nature, which takes pleasure in supporting other OECS countries.
The hotel was initially planned to be built in La Valley in St Kitts and Nevis, but investors backed out from investing in the twin-island federation and turned to Grenada. The losses were huge, but PM Drew still expressed his happiness at being part of the opening ceremony.
The leader of St Kitts and Nevis took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share the update of his visit in the ceremony in Grenada.
“Over the weekend I was happy to attend the opening of Six Senses La Sagesse Hotel in Grenada. This hotel was originally supposed to be built in St Kitts at La Valley, however the investors instead went to Grenada after 2025. This loss was significant”, remarked PM Drew.
The Prime Minister further shared that the hotel offered up to 1,000 construction jobs to a number of labourers and even after the completion, it is supposed to provide approximately 750 long term hotel jobs.
The opening of this luxurious hotel will attract many tourists and travellers in Grenada to spend their holidays/ vacation, which will directly enhance the economy of the nation.
