Pakistan: FIA arrests main suspect in greece boat tragedy

The Greece boat tragedy has reported a significant development in Pakistan. In the accident, 78 people lost their lives. Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency of the country claimed that they arrested the main culprits. The authorities made this significant arrest from Sheikhupura, Punjab. The authorities of the FIA have identified the key suspect as Talha Shagzaib. He was a resident of the same area that he was arrested from. 

As per the authorities, the boat tragedy took place on Wednesday June 14. Several numbers of Migrants and refugees were on board the boat before it sank. Almost 78 people died as a result of this tragic incident. The tragic incident took place in the Peloponnese peninsula. The sources have revealed that more than 750 men, women and children were on the boat before the sinking of the vessel. Further, these travelers were trying to reach their respective relatives in Europe. 

The international experts have claimed that this incident marks the biggest tragedy in world history for the world. Meanwhile, note that the Federal Investigative Agency received a tip-off for the location of the key suspect who is involved in this crime. Afterwards, the agency took the opportunity to apprehend the suspect. The FIA claimed that the administration was ardent  to bringing the perpetrators to justice after the tragedy. The Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif created a four member team of high level officials to investigate the incident. 

Meanwhile, the prime minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif urged his administration to increase the efficiency of the law when it comes to human trafficking. He ordered an immediate crackdown on agents of human trafficking. PM Sharif Claimed that anyone found guilty in this connection will get severe punishment. 

Accordingly, the law enforcement authorities have also apprehended another “Human trafficker” from Wazirabad. The said person was responsible for sending people abroad illegally. The crackdown on the human traffickers continued on Sunday as well. The authorities went on to apprehend upwards of ten human traffickers in the country.
