The Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, announced their separation on Thursday, 30 June.
JJC Skillz is a Nigerian songwriter, rapper, record and television producer and Funke Akindele is a Nigerian film actress and producer.
The record producer has disclosed this through an Instagram post on his official account.
JJC Skills disclosed that he moved out of their house around three months ago, and the actress has denied having any type of discussion related to the future of their relationship.
JJC Skills confessed that their marriage has been having problems for the last two years.
He said while saying, dear friends and family, I need to let you all know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted for several years, many things were shared together, and they also had two beautiful children.
He further said that the last two years were extremely difficult for them. He said he had tried his best to fix the things, but he believes their relationship is beyond repair now.
Three months earlier, and at Funke’s demand, he moved out of the house and, apart from AMVCA, has not been able to get Funke to sit down amicably to discuss the future of their relationship because she did not want one.
He made this disclosure so that the public is apparent that they both are pursuing separate lives and were living separately.
The couple still has issues they need to address, like custody and the wellbeing of their children, which is most important, as well as business interests that require to be solved, but JJC Skillz does not doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.
The celebrity couple got married in May 2016 but now are deciding to split up due to personal issues.
