Development Bank partners with St Peter’s Football Club, fostering opportunities for athletes

PM Terrance Drew was pleased to share the Development Bank of St Kitts and Nevis as the new title sponsor of the St Peter’s Football Club.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was pleased to share the Development Bank of St Kitts and Nevis as the new title sponsor of the St Peter’s Football Club. The aim of this collaboration is to create opportunities for the young athletes.

PM Drew shares that the Development Bank has always been active in supporting the sports sector and contributed in the community enhancement initiatives. This investment will subsidize resources to the club.

An initial investment of $30,000 was presented to the St Peter’s FC in order to strengthen the partnership.

The young ambitious athletes will get an opportunity to rise and shine in their particular fields. The leader of St Kitts and Nevis took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share the news of new collaboration between the two great pillars of their society.

“I am pleased with the significant partnership between the Development Bank St Kitts & Nevis and the St Peters Football Club. The Development Bank of St Kitts & Nevis is the new title sponsor of the St Peter’s Football Club. This collaboration will provide vital support and resources to the club, enabling them to nurture talent, provide mentorship, and create opportunities for our young ambitious athletes”, added PM Drew.

The partnership between the bank and the SKNFA Premier Division team was announced during a press conference on March 14 at the Atiba Erasto Harris Sporting Complex.

Noting this, many government officials paid their presence during the event including the Prime Minister and the Parliamentary Representative for St Peter’s- Terrance Drew, staff and management of the Development Bank, players and management of the St Peter’s FC, representatives of the St Kitts and Nevis Football Association, which was led by the President Atiba Harris and the supporters of the football club.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the Development Bank who stood by them and support in the overall development of the nation. Its constant dedication boosts the sporting skills and uplifted the communities to a great extent.
