Niger State: Commissioner Dr Hadiza Asabe leads team for school visit

Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education Dr Hadiza Asabe Mohammed led a team from Niger State Ministry of Education to a visit to the Borno State Ministry of Education.

The visit was carried out on the orders of the Executive Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago. He has been highly impressed by the achievements of the Borno Education Department. Bago regarded the transformation of the Borno State Education as a successful development.

Governor Bago of Niger State commended the efforts of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State, that he is a role model for the whole nation.

Moreover, The Niger State Team was warmly welcomed by the Commissioner of Education for Borno State, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Haj. Aishatu Musa Sheikh, Special Assistant on TVET Goni Ibrahim, and other officials. Wakilbe also played host to their visit.

During this visit, the niger state team toured the Borno’s schools, vocational training institutes and other educational establishments. Commissioner Dr Hadiza Asabe Mohammed seemed highly impressed by the advancements in the education sector of Borno.

She acknowledged that all the growth she saw was beyond her expectations.
Dr Hadiza regarded the efficient utilisation of resources as the key factor in the Borno Education System.

Besides the attacks of the rebellion groups, Borno schools and other educational institutions managed to resurrect with what was left. The hardships experienced by Borno’s education institutions paid off.

She further added that they have learned so many valuable lessons during the visit and are going to implement all this in their respective states. And will advise other states to do the same.
