Edo state celebrates 32 year anniversary with Colloquium

The Edo state is celebrating their thirty two year anniversary with a Colloquium. The Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Sound Stage is hosting a Colloquium which is marking the 60th Anniversary of the Midwest Referendum.

The Edo state government is celebrating their thirty two year anniversary with a Colloquium. The Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Sound Stage is hosting a Colloquium which is marking the 60th Anniversary of the Midwest Referendum alongside the thirty two year anniversary of Edo State. 

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has welcomed all guests and attendees at the historically significant event. During his appearance at the celebratory event, He asserted that the Midwest Referendum holds a special place in the hearts of every Edo citizen.

The Colloquium also allowed the Governor of Edo state to elaborate on the event’s significance. Several prominent members of the Edo state government accompanied the Governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki. The Edo State official social media account shared some glimpses from the Colloquium for the general public.

Meanwhile, According to Obaseki, “The Midwest Referendum represents the embodiment of the people’s aspirations for self-determination, unity and progress”. 

He also added that the Colloquium will offer the region an opportunity to engage in thoughtful discourse and share insights and perspectives that can guide the path of the state towards progress.

In attendance is the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; Edo State First Lady, Besty Obaseki; Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu; the former Governors of Edo State, Comrade Senator Adams Oshiomole and Professor Senator Oserheimen Osunbor; the Executive Governor of Delta State, represented by the Deputy Governor; the Governor of Bayelsa State represented by the Ambassador Bola Dadu; Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, 

Other attendants of the event include Blessings Agbebaku; Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice Daniel Okungbowa; Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie; Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha; State Chairman of PDP, Dr Anthony Aziegbemhin; members of Edo, Delta and Bayelsa States Executive Council; members of Edo, Delta and Bayelsa States House of Assembly; Permanent Secretaries, Heads of ministerial parastatals, Royal Fathers, amongst others.
