Michael Ogueke took to his social media to share that while the government of Nigeria makes an effort to give the population all the amenities, the people of Nigeria like to gamble on their lives and break laws.

Nigeria-based writer, political economist and professor Michael Ogueke took to his social media to share that while the government of Nigeria makes an effort to give the population all the amenities, the people of Nigeria like to gamble on their lives and break laws. The Nigerian author stated that the people of Nigeria love lawlessness. We deliberately fan anarchy & chaos with reckless abandon.

To further elaborate the theory, Professor Ogueke made the following observations. He stated that government builds a pedestrian bridge to help us cross an express road and save our lives. We will not use it and make daredevil dashes across speed lanes in between vehicles running at over 100 km p/h speed.

Further, he added, The government will spend additional money to build iron barriers along the roads. Accordingly, people may use pedestrian bridges. We will throttle down the walls to continue to gamble with our lives on speed lanes.

He observed that some people among us complain about this lawless recklessness. At the time, we say it is because there is no government enforcement. So, you need government enforcement to stop you from deliberately choosing to kill yourself? Professor Michael Ogueke expressed his disappointment over the situation and called it pathetic

The social media influencer stated that this is the story of our lives as Nigerians. We love lawlessness. We deliberately fan anarchy & chaos with reckless abandon. Our stock in trade is destructive mischief. We slaughter each other on every insane excuse to prove we cannot live together. We contrive hate for ourselves, conduct primitive emotions & devise blame on the system. He expressed that the system is run by the same us & not aliens so that we can justify our pursuits of tragedy.

He further stated that we have wilfully chosen a destiny of self-destruction. Yet, we turn to blame the government for the lack of enforcement. And that self-annihilation is what we will get if we don’t quit this new culture of madness.
