Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire extends heartfelt greetings on Easter Sunday

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media account to extend heartfelt greetings on Easter.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, took to his social media account to extend heartfelt greetings on Easter. The Minister, who handles the responsibility for the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, shared a verse from the holy text of the Christians, The Bible, to commemorate the occasion of Easter.

In his Facebook post, Minister Hikaire commemorate the occasion of the rise of Jesus Christ from the dead. Easter Sunday is a celebration of the revival of hope for several Christians across the globe. In line with this, The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia remembered a verse from the Bible:


John 6:40: “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.” Through this verse, Minister Hilaire urged the people to keep their faith in the son of god, Jesus Christ.

Easter marks the return of Jesus Christ on the third day of his crucifixion by the Jewish authorities. The festival is celebrated in many parts of the world by people who believe in the divinity of Jesus. Meanwhile, On Easter Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire expressed the shared belief of many Christians. He and many other Christians firmly believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for the people’s sins.

Accordingly, he urged the people to respect the sacrifice of their saviour. At the same time he asked them to walk on the path that Jesus laid out for them. Additionally, He took to his social media to make the following observation:

The Deputy Prime Minister asserted that he rose and would save all who believed in him. He added that as we reflect on this Easter Sunday, let us remember Jesus Christ, who sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins.

Finally, He reiterated that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice saved the people. Accordingly, he urged them to believe in one another and love and protect their neighbours.
