The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire took to his social media account to express his gratitude to the sponsors of the 2023 edition of the Jazz and the Arts Festival of the country. In 2023, Saint Lucia observed the 30th anniversary of the most renowned Jazz and Music Festival in the nation.

During the 30th edition of the festival, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ernest Hilaire extended his gratitude to all the stakeholders of the music festival. He shared some scenic glimpses of the various events on his social media account.

The Jass and Music Festival of Saint Lucia showcases the creative talents of the people of the country both on the musical and artistic fronts. For the 2023 edition, the government introduced a new concept, Art & The City. Through this concept, they seek to express our culture through artistic expression. Additionally, the government of Saint Lucia, under the guidance of Minister Hilaire, brought the festival into different areas of the city centre.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy also handles the responsibility for the National Carnival Committee. The Minister addressed the stakeholders and the sponsors of the Jazz and Music Festival. He asserted that without their help and support, the government could not achieve the excellent production and support of our local creatives throughout the festival.

Meanwhile, the festival accrued several economic benefits for Saint Lucians. During the events, taxi drivers got employment, villas and hotel rooms got bookings, visitors going to local bars and restaurants and many more supporting activities recieved a boost in employment opportunities. The government of Saint Lucia shared that they seek to bring the Jazz festival back into the communities. The project will help Saint Lucians own more of the festival and bring the profits from the various events to them
