Zamfara: Gov Bello Matawalle pays tribute to armed forces at remembrance day

The Governor spoke in front of the attendance of the remembrance day on Sunday, January 15, 2022. The day is celebrated as one of the most important days honouring the history of the nation.

He praised both the departed and the living heroes for their patriotism, even as he encouraged the people to complement the government’s efforts by donating generously towards the wellbeing of the Legionnaires.

Governor Matawalle talked about the military heroes on the occasion of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. He said, “Indeed, we are here today to appreciate all our fallen heroes, both military and civilians, who have shed their blood for the unity and peace of this state.

The Governor of Zamfara state, Governor Bello Matawalle, talked about the valour of the armed forces during the celebration. He noted that They, indeed, fought a good fight for the sustainability of their fatherland. We are here to say well done to them and those who are lucky to be alive till today.

Further, he noted, “We on our part, without mincing words, have come to praise them, both the departed and the living, for their patriotism. They died our deaths, they bore our injuries, and they lost their lives for humanity. They have indeed sacrificed their lives for us to know peace. My people, they deserve our praises, they deserve our honours, and they deserve our appreciation.
