Thirty-Three young men and women completed the World of Work (WoW) Programme organized by the CCM-Youth Arm. The Youth arm of the concerned Citizens movement hosted the workshop in partnership with Camara Lee-Prentice of TALENT+.
The official Facebook page of the Concerned Citizens Movement shared some glimpses of the event on their social media account. As per the Concerned Citizens Movement, the workshop participants received training in various areas of importance to advance their professional careers.
The exercises include:
Writing an effective résumé
how to ace a job interview
brand management
professionalism
personal attitude
readiness for work,
self-management,
time management
teamwork.
The Concerned Citizens Movement further noted that since TALENT+ is a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) service provider, each participant will receive eight credits towards their professional development.
In addition, each participant received a free voucher for a professional photographer at Photo Fantasy. The participants can use these professional photos on their Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Concerned Citizens Movement congratulated all participants and wished them the best for their future.
The Deputy Premier of Nevis, Eric Evelyn, congratulated the youth arm of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM-Youth Arm) on successfully hosting the world of work workshop. The World of Work (WoW) workshop aimed to promote the professional development of the youth of Nevis. Additionally, they trained the youngsters on what to expect in a professional setting.
Accordingly, The Deputy Premier of Nevis, Eric Evelyn, took to his social media account to extend special congratulations to President Emoyen Grant and Public Relations Officer Breandra Liburd for their hard work in ensuring this workshop was a success.
Additionally, The senator with Ministerial responsibility, Jahnel Nisbett, also attended the workshop. The senator delivered remarks at the opening session of the World of Work (WoW) programme currently offered by the CCM-Youth Arm. Senator Nisbett believes that Programmes such as these are critical as they provide the practical tools and training for young persons to enter and excel in the workplace.
